The Florida Notice of Conventional Filing (CM-ECF) is an electronic filing system used by the courts in the state of Florida to receive, store, and manage legal documents. It allows attorneys, paralegals, and court staff to electronically file documents with the court. CM-ECF is an acronym for Case Management/Electronic Case Filing. The Florida Notice of Conventional Filing (CM-ECF) system includes three different filing types: 1. Filing by Notice of Electronic Filing (NEW) — This requires the party filing the document to enter the case number and parties’ namethereofEF form. This is the most common filing method used for documents like summons, complaints, motions, and orders. 2. Filing by Electronic Filing Manager (FM) — This is the filing system for documents that are not normally filed with the court, such as discovery requests, interrogatories, and subpoenas. 3. Filing by Electronic File Transfer (EFT) — This is the filing system for documents that are too large to be filed electronically, such as exhibits and affidavits. The documents are uploaded to a secure server and the court is notified of the filing. The Florida Notice of Conventional Filing (CM-ECF) system provides an efficient and secure way for attorneys and court staff to electronically file documents with the court. It allows for quick and secure access to documents, reducing the time and cost associated with filing documents with the court.
