Florida Declaration of Domicile is a legal document used to establish residency in the state of Florida. It is required for individuals who wish to become legal residents of Florida for taxation purposes. The document must be signed by two witnesses and filed with the local county clerk. There are two types of Florida Declaration of Domicile. The first type is a Permanent Declaration of Domicile, which is used to establish a permanent residence in Florida with the intention of making it the primary residence for at least the next 183 days. The second type is a Temporary Declaration of Domicile, which is used to establish a temporary residence in Florida with the intention of remaining in the state for no more than 183 days. In both cases, the document must include the individual's name, address, date of birth, and a statement of intention to make the address the primary residence. It must also include a statement that the individual has abandoned any other former domiciles and has relinquished any right to vote in such other states.
