The Florida Financial Affidavit is a document used in family law proceedings in Florida. It is a sworn statement of a spouse’s income, assets, and liabilities, which is used to calculate alimony and/or child support. There are two types of Florida Financial Affidavit: an In Form Paupers Financial Affidavit (IFP) and a Standard Financial Affidavit (SFA). The IFP is used by individuals with limited resources who cannot afford to pay the court filing fees, while the SFA is used by all other individuals. Both forms require the individual to provide detailed information about their income, assets, and liabilities, including current employment, income sources, real estate and personal property owned, debts and expenses, and any other financial information pertinent to the case.
