Florida EDI Transmission Profile-Sender Specifications (also known as Florida EDI Transmission Profile-Sender Guidelines) are technical documents that provide guidance for businesses who are transmitting EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) documents to parties in or out of Florida. These documents outline the specific requirements and technical specifications needed to ensure that the EDI documents are securely and successfully sent. The Florida EDI Transmission Profile-Sender Specifications provide information on the types of EDI documents that can be sent, the data format and syntax needed to properly send each document, and the various communication protocols necessary for successful transmission. There are two different types of Florida EDI Transmission Profile-Sender Specifications: the HIPAA EDI Profile and the UCC net EDI Profile. The HIPAA EDI Profile outlines the requirements for sending specific EDI documents used in healthcare, such as the 837 and 835. The UCC net EDI Profile outlines the requirements for sending EDI documents related to retail, such as the EDIFACT ORDERS and INVOICE.
