Hawaii 54(b) Certified is a certification program created by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture to recognize the highest quality locally produced agricultural products from the Hawaiian Islands. The program allows producers to apply for certification and use the Hawaii 54(b) Certified label on their products to signify that they meet the Department's standards for quality and authenticity. There are two types of Hawaii 54(b) Certified: Processed Products and Agricultural Products. Processed Products include products such as jams, jellies, sauces, and other food products made from Hawaiian agricultural products. Agricultural Products include fresh fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural products grown in the Hawaiian Islands.
