Hawaii Proposed Parenting Plan is a court-ordered plan detailing the rights and responsibilities of both parents in the custody of a child. It includes arrangements for physical and legal custody, visitation rights, and decision-making responsibilities. The plan should be tailored to the best interests of the child and the unique circumstances of the family. There are two types of Hawaii Proposed Parenting Plan: Joint Legal Custody and Sole Legal Custody. Under Joint Legal Custody, both parents share the responsibility for making decisions about the child’s upbringing and welfare. Sole Legal Custody gives one parent the right to make decisions regarding the child’s upbringing and welfare. In both cases, the plan should include provisions for communication between parents, access to records and information, a dispute resolution process, and visitation rights and times. It should also include a detailed description of the financial responsibilities of the parents and any other issues that need to be addressed.
