A Hawaii Statement of Qualification (Certificate of LLP) is a document issued by the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs verifying the qualification of a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) to do business in the state of Hawaii. It is the equivalent of a Certificate of Good Standing for an LLC. The Certificate of LLP confirms that the LLP was formed in accordance with Hawaii law and that all the required annual reports, including the Annual Report of Partners, have been filed. The Certificate of LLP also confirms that the LLP is in good standing with the state. There are two types of Hawaii Statements of Qualification (Certificate of LLP): Original Certificate of LLP and Renewal Certificate of LLP. The Original Certificate of LLP is issued when the LLP is first formed and registered with the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. The Renewal Certificate of LLP is issued annually when the LLP files its annual report and pays its annual renewal fee to the department.
