The Idaho UCC Financing Statement Amendment (also referred to as an Amendment to a Financing Statement) is an official document that is used to amend an already existing Financing Statement filed under the Uniform Commercial Code. This document is used to change information, such as the name of a debtor or secured party, that is filed with the Idaho Secretary of State. There are three types of Idaho UCC Financing Statement Amendment: 1) Continuation/Renewal Statement; 2) Assignment/Assumption Statement; and 3) Termination Statement. A Continuation/Renewal Statement is used to extend the duration of the Financing Statement for an additional five years. An Assignment/Assumption Statement is used to transfer the rights of a secured party from one party to another. A Termination Statement is used to terminate a Financing Statement that was previously filed. All Idaho UCC Financing Statement Amendments must be submitted to the Secretary of State's office, along with the applicable fees.
