An Idaho Affidavit of Service is a legal document used to confirm that a defendant in a case has been properly served with official court documents. This document is completed and signed by the person who served the documents and witnessed the service, and then submitted to the court. There are two types of Idaho Affidavit of Service: personal service and substituted service. Personal service occurs when the documents are served directly to the defendant in person. Substituted service occurs when the documents are served to someone of suitable age and discretion at the defendant’s home, place of employment, or other place where they might reasonably be found.
