The Idaho Mediation Satisfaction Questionnaire (IMSI) is a survey developed by the Idaho Supreme Court to measure the satisfaction of parties involved in mediation. It is designed to provide feedback to court staff and mediators about the quality of mediation services. The IMSI consists of three sections: participant ratings of the mediation process, participant ratings of the mediator, and participant ratings of the mediation outcome. Participants rate mediation process and mediator items on a five-point scale ranging from “Strongly Agree” to “Strongly Disagree.” The mediation outcome section requires participants to rate their satisfaction level with the outcome of mediation on a five-point scale ranging from “Very Satisfied” to “Very Dissatisfied.” There are two types of Idaho Mediation Satisfaction Questionnaire: the General IMSI, which is used for all types of mediation, and the Family IMSI, which is used for family medications.
