Illinois Acceptance of Office-Corporation is a document that is filed with the Secretary of State's office in order to legally recognize the acceptance of an individual into the role of a director, officer, or manager of an Illinois corporation. This document must be filed within 30 days of the acceptance of the role. There are two types of Illinois Acceptance of Office-Corporation documents: the Appointment of Officer form, and the Appointment of Director form. The Appointment of Officer form is used when an individual is being appointed to the position of an officer in an Illinois corporation, and the Appointment of Director form is used when an individual is being appointed to the position of a director in an Illinois corporation. Both forms require the signature of the individual being appointed and must be accompanied by the filing fee.
