Inventory
Illinois Inventory is a comprehensive inventory of the state's natural resources, including land, minerals, water, wildlife, and vegetation. It provides a comprehensive overview of the state's land, water, wildlife, and vegetation resources, with detailed information on important physical and biological characteristics, land use and development, and conservation practices. The Illinois Inventory also includes data on the current status of Illinois' resources, and potential changes in those resources over time. The Inventory is divided into three major types: Land Inventory, Water Inventory, and Wildlife Inventory. The Land Inventory includes information on land cover, land use, and soil characteristics; the Water Inventory includes information on surface water and groundwater availability and quality; and the Wildlife Inventory includes information on species composition, habitat, and population trends.
