The Illinois Notice of Account-Current or Final is a document issued by the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOL) that provides a summary of the taxes, credits, and refunds due or paid on an individual or business tax account. This document gives the taxpayer an overview of their current tax liability or the total amount of taxes paid for a given tax period. There are three types of Illinois Notice of Account-Current or Final: the Current Account Summary, Final Account Summary, and Adjusted Account Summary. The Current Account Summary lists the current total amount due or refundable, including any taxes, payments, credits, or other adjustments. It also includes the amount of any outstanding balances, the date of the last activity, and the date of the next activity. The Final Account Summary lists the total amount due or refundable, including any taxes, payments, credits, or other adjustments. It also includes the total amount of taxes paid, the date of the last payment, and any applicable interest or penalties due. The Adjusted Account Summary is similar to the Final Account Summary, but it includes any adjustments made to the account since the Final Account Summary was issued. This summary includes the date of the adjustment and the reason for the adjustment. All three types of Illinois Notice of Account-Current or Final can be obtained from the IDOL website or by request from the IDOL office.
