Illinois Additional Arresting Agencies are organizations that are commissioned by the state of Illinois to enforce laws and arrest offenders. They include the Illinois State Police, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the Will County Sheriff’s Office, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, thBasallyle County Sheriff’s Office, and the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office. These agencies are responsible for the enforcement of state laws as well as local and county laws. They also have the power to conduct investigations, make arrests, and apprehend fugitives. Additionally, they may provide assistance to other law enforcement agencies in matters involving the arrest of suspects.
