The Illinois Hotel Form is a state-mandated document that is submitted by hotel owners or operators in order to obtain a hotel license from the Illinois Department of Revenue. It is generally used to determine the amount of taxes that will be due and to make sure that the hotel is in compliance with all applicable regulations. There are three different types of Illinois Hotel Forms: the Hotel Tax Return, the Hotel Occupancy Tax Return, and the Hotel Use Tax Return. The Hotel Tax Return is used to report hotel occupancy taxes collected during the reporting period. The Hotel Occupancy Tax Return is used to report the amount of taxes due on occupancy of the hotel. The Hotel Use Tax Return is used to report the amount of taxes due on the use of the hotel.
