An Illinois Warrant of Arrest is a legal document issued by a court or other authorized body allowing for the arrest of an individual. It is most commonly issued when a person has failed to appear for a court hearing or has failed to comply with a court order. There are three types of warrants of arrest that can be issued in Illinois: 1. Bench Warrant: This type of warrant is issued when a person fails to appear for a court hearing or fails to comply with a court order. 2. Arrest Warrant: This type of warrant is issued when a law enforcement officer has reasonable cause to believe that a person has committed a crime. 3. Search Warrant: This type of warrant is issued when a law enforcement officer has reasonable cause to believe that a person has committed a crime and that evidence of the crime can be found in a particular place. The Illinois Warrant of Arrest must be served by a law enforcement officer in order to be valid. It must include the name of the person being arrested, the offense(s) they are accused of committing, and the time and place of the arrest. Additionally, the warrant must be signed by a judge or other authorized person.
