Illinois Local Rule 8.03 Position Statement-Civil Union is a form required by the Circuit Court of Cook County in order to initiate a civil union dissolution action. It is used to provide a summary of the parties’ positions on the issues related to the dissolution of the civil union, including child support, parenting arrangements, and division of assets and liabilities. This form must be signed by both parties to the civil union and filed with the court. There are three types of Illinois Local Rule 8.03 Position Statement-Civil Union: Uncontested, Contested, and Joint Position Statement. The Uncontested version is used when both parties agree to the terms of the dissolution. The Contested version is used when one or both parties do not agree to the terms of the dissolution. The Joint Position Statement is used when both parties agree to the terms of the dissolution and have reached a mutual agreement on all matters related to the dissolution.
