The Illinois Access to Justice Commission: Certificate of Adoption is a document issued by the Illinois Supreme Court in order to recognize attorneys and law firms that have adopted pro bono programs to provide free legal services to individuals of limited income. The certificate is issued to attorneys and law firms that have met the standards for pro bono service as set forth by the Illinois Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission. There are two types of certificates: the Pro Bono Limited Scope Certificate and the Pro Bono Full Representation Certificate. The Pro Bono Limited Scope Certificate is issued to attorneys and law firms that have adopted a pro bono program to provide limited scope legal services to individuals of limited income. The Pro Bono Full Representation Certificate is issued to attorneys and law firms that have adopted a pro bono program to provide full representation legal services to individuals of limited income.
