The Illinois Annual Report (Guardian of Disabled Person) is a yearly report prepared by the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) for the State of Illinois. The purpose of the report is to provide an overview of the guardianship activities of the OPG, including the number of individuals under guardianship, the total expenditures for guardianship services, and the number of guardians appointed. The report also includes information on the number of guardianship actions taken and the impact of guardianship services on the quality of life of individuals with disabilities. The report details the number of individuals who have been approved for guardianship services, the number of individuals awaiting placement in a guardianship, the number of individuals who have been discharged from a guardianship, and the number of individuals who have died while under guardianship. There are two types of Illinois Annual Reports (Guardian of Disabled Person): the Traditional Annual Report and the Comprehensive Annual Report. The Traditional Annual Report is a summary of guardianship activities for the previous year. The Comprehensive Annual Report provides a more detailed account of guardianship activities, including an evaluation of the OPG’s performance and an analysis of the impact of guardianship services on the quality of life of individuals with disabilities.
