Indiana Order to Proceed Without Prepaying Fees or Costs is a legal document issued by the Indiana Supreme Court authorizing indigent litigants to proceed with their case without having to pay court fees and costs. This order allows an individual to file a case in the courts without having to pay the associated court costs. This order is also referred to as an Formma Pauperis” order, or IFP. There are two types of Indiana Order to Proceed Without Prepaying Fees or Costs. The first is a full order, which grants a litigant the ability to proceed without paying court costs. The second type is a partial order, which allows a litigant to proceed with paying a portion of the court costs associated with their case. To be eligible for this order, the litigant must demonstrate to the court that they cannot afford to pay the court costs associated with a case. The court will then review the litigant’s financial information and make a determination whether they are eligible for the order.
