Indiana Certificate of Excess Insurance is a type of insurance protection that is purchased in addition to a primary policy. It provides additional coverage over and above the limits of the primary policy, and is commonly referred to as an "umbrella policy" or "excess liability insurance". It can provide coverage for costs incurred due to third-party claims for bodily injury, property damage, and personal injury. There are two types of Indiana Certificate of Excess Insurance: Commercial Excess Liability Insurance and Personal Excess Liability Insurance. Commercial Excess Liability Insurance is designed to cover businesses and their employees, while Personal Excess Liability Insurance is designed to cover individuals and their families. Both policies provide additional coverage over and above the limits of the primary policy, and are designed to protect the policyholder from large financial losses due to third-party claims.
