Indiana UCC Financing Statement Amendment is a document used to modify information in an existing financing statement that has been filed with the Indiana Secretary of State. The amendment can be used to correct information in the original financing statement, change the secured party of record, add or delete collateral, or otherwise modify the terms of the financing statement. There are two types of Indiana UCC Financing Statement Amendments: (1) Amendment to Financing Statement, and (2) Continuation Statement. An Amendment to Financing Statement is used to correct mistakes in the original financing statement or to change the secured party of record, while a Continuation Statement is used to extend the period of time the financing statement remains in effect. Both types of amendments must be signed by the debtor, or the secured party, and filed with the Indiana Secretary of State.
