This form creates an Area of Mutual Interest (AMI) comprising the Contract Area. During the term of this AMI, if any Party acquires all or any interest in any Oil and Gas Leases, any mineral interest, or any farmouts or other contracts which affect lands and minerals lying within the AMI, the Acquiring Party shall promptly advise each of the other Parties of the acquisition, at which time each Offeree shall have the right to acquire its proportionate interest in the Oil and Gas Interest.

The Indiana Area of Mutual Interest (AMI) is a concept utilized in various industries to define a geographic region where multiple stakeholders come together to collaborate on common goals and interests. In the context of oil and gas exploration and extraction, the Indiana AMI refers to a designated region of land over which multiple companies have agreed to share exploration rights, technical data, and potential economic benefits. The Indiana AMI is particularly important in the oil and gas industry as it helps streamline operations, reduce costs, and foster cooperation among companies that would otherwise compete for the same resources. By entering into an AMI agreement, companies can collectively make better-informed decisions regarding exploration and production activities, minimize duplicate efforts, and improve overall operational efficiency. Within the Indiana AMI, there can be different types, each varying based on their respective characteristics and objectives. Some common types of Indiana AMI include: 1. Exploration-focused AMI: This type mainly aims to pool resources and knowledge for the initial exploration phases. Companies within this AMI tend to cooperate on geological studies, seismic surveys, and data analysis to identify potential hydrocarbon reserves. The ultimate goal is to increase the chances of discovering economically viable resources. 2. Production-focused AMI: Once a viable source of hydrocarbons is identified, the AMI can shift its focus towards production-related activities. Companies may collaborate on infrastructure development, including drilling operations, well completions, and production optimization techniques. Shared use of facilities and equipment can further enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. 3. Research and development AMI: This type of AMI emphasizes technological advancements and innovation in the industry. Companies within this AMI work together to research and develop new techniques, tools, and technologies to enhance exploration and production processes. The knowledge sharing and cross-pollination of ideas can lead to significant advancements and better outcomes for all involved parties. 4. Environmental and regulatory AMI: In some cases, an AMI may be created to address environmental and regulatory concerns. Companies operating in the same geographic area can collaborate to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices. They may share best practices, undertake joint environmental impact assessments, and collectively invest in mitigation measures to minimize the ecological footprint of operations. Overall, the Indiana Area of Mutual Interest serves as a platform for cooperation, joint decision-making, and resource optimization within the oil and gas industry. By creating an environment where companies can work together towards a common goal, the Indiana AMI maximizes the potential for success while minimizing individual risks and costs. The various types of Indiana AMI further cater to specific objectives, allowing stakeholders to tailor their collaborations to their specific needs and aspirations.
