The Kentucky Statement of Redactions of Transcript (KURT) is a document that is used to protect the confidentiality of information in an official transcript. It is used by a court or other legal entity to redact or remove information from an official transcript so that it cannot be accessed or released to the public. The KURT can be used to remove names, addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, dates of birth, and other personal identifying information that may be found in an official transcript. There are two types of KURT: the Standard KURT and the Special KURT. The Standard KURT is used to redact information from transcripts that are already in the public domain, while the Special KURT is used to redact information from transcripts that are not in the public domain. Both Karts can be used to protect the confidentiality of an individual's information in an official transcript.
