The Kentucky Apostle Index Card is used to provide evidence that a document has been certified by the Kentucky Secretary of State to be genuine. There are two types of Kentucky Apostle Index Card: the Apostle Index Card for Documents and the Apostle Index Card for Notarial Acts. The Apostle Index Card for Documents is used to authenticate documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, and death certificates, while the Apostle Index Card for Notarial Acts is used to authenticate documents such as powers of attorney, real estate documents, and affidavits. Both of these cards are valid for up to six months from the date of issuance.
