The Kentucky Articles of Amendment (Domestic Profit or Professional Services Corp) is a document that is used to amend the formation of a corporation in the state of Kentucky. This document is filed with the Kentucky Secretary of State's office and requires the payment of a fee. Depending on the type of corporation, there are two types of Kentucky Articles of Amendment that need to be completed: Domestic Profit Corporation and Professional Service Corporation. A Domestic Profit Corporation is a business formed for the purpose of making a profit. A Professional Service Corporation is a corporation organized to render specific professional services. The Articles of Amendment must include the name of the corporation, the date of the original filing of the Articles of Incorporation, the date the amendment is being made, the amendment being made, the date of the amendment, the signatures of the incorporated or officers, and the state in which the corporation is organized. The amendment must also be published in a newspaper in the county where the corporation is located prior to filing. Once the amendment is filed and all requirements are met, the Kentucky Secretary of State's office will issue a Certificate of Amendment.
