Kentucky Registration or Renewal of Entity Name (Foreign Business Entity) is the process of registering or renewing an entity name in the state of Kentucky for a foreign business entity. This includes registering or renewing a corporation, limited liability company (LLC), limited partnership (LP), and limited liability limited partnership (LL LP). To register or renew an entity name, the entity must first apply for a Certificate of Authority with the Kentucky Secretary of State by submitting the appropriate forms along with the required filing fees. Once approved, the Certificate of Authority will provide the entity name and any other details necessary for the registration or renewal of an entity name. The entity must then complete the Registration or Renewal of Entity Name form and submit it, along with the necessary fees, to the Kentucky Secretary of State. Once approved, the entity will be officially registered or renewed in the state of Kentucky, and will receive a notice of acceptance.
