Kentucky Trademark or Service Mark Assignment is a legal document used to transfer the ownership of a trademark or service mark from one party to another in the state of Kentucky. This type of assignment must include a description of the trademark or service mark, the year it was registered, the name of the assignor (the party transferring the trademark or service mark), the name of the assignee (the party receiving the trademark or service mark), and the date of the assignment. It must also be signed by both parties and should include a statement that the assignor is transferring all rights, title, and interest in the trademark or service mark. There are two types of Kentucky Trademark or Service Mark Assignment: Assignment without Goodwill and Assignment with Goodwill. In an Assignment without Goodwill, the trademark or service mark is transferred without any goodwill attached to it; in an Assignment with Goodwill, the goodwill associated with the trademark or service mark is also transferred.
