The Louisiana Attorney Registration Statement is a required document for lawyers who wish to practice in the state of Louisiana. This document must be completed and submitted to the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board in order to register as an attorney in the state. The statement includes information about the attorney's legal education, experience, bar admissions, and other pertinent information. There are three types of Louisiana Attorney Registration Statements: the Original Attorney Registration Statement, the Renewal Attorney Registration Statement, and the Periodic Attorney Registration Statement. The Original Attorney Registration Statement must be completed and submitted in order to register as an attorney in the state. The Renewal Attorney Registration Statement is used to renew an attorney’s registration on an annual basis. The Periodic Attorney Registration Statement is used to update any changes to the original registration statement.
