Louisiana Civil Rights Complaint — Prisoner is a legal document filed by an inmate in a state prison in Louisiana. It is used to file a complaint against the prison administration for any civil rights violations or grievances that the inmate has experienced while in the facility. This complaint can include allegations of discriminatory treatment, cruel and unusual punishment, inappropriate or inadequate medical care, and other matters that the inmate considers to be civil rights violations. The complaint must be filed within 180 days of the alleged violation. There are two types of Louisiana Civil Rights Complaint — Prisoner: Inmate Grievance and Inmate Civil Rights Complaint. The Inmate Grievance is used to address issues related to inmate privileges, services, and general conditions of confinement. The Inmate Civil Rights Complaint is used to address issues related to violations of the prisoner’s constitutional or statutory rights.
