A Louisiana Order of Transfer is a type of document used to transfer ownership of real estate located in the state of Louisiana. It is typically used for transferring fee simple ownership of a property to another party. There are two types of Louisiana Order of Transfer: a voluntary Order of Transfer, which is used when the current owner of the property voluntarily transfers ownership of the property; and an involuntary Order of Transfer, which is used when a court orders the transfer of ownership of the property. The Order of Transfer must be signed by the current owner(s) of the property and filed with the local county clerk's office. It must also include the legal description of the property, the names of the current and new owner(s), and the date of transfer. The Order of Transfer serves to transfer ownership of the property from one party to another and is an important part of the real estate transaction process in Louisiana.
