Louisiana Disputed Claim For Medical Treatment is a process for resolving disputes between healthcare providers and patients over the payment of medical bills. This process is regulated by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. There are two types of Louisiana Disputed Claim For Medical Treatment: 1) Pre-Service Dispute Resolution and 2) Post-Service Dispute Resolution. Pre-Service Dispute Resolution is a process for resolving payment disputes that occur before the patient receives medical care. Post-Service Dispute Resolution is a process for resolving payment disputes that occur after the patient receives medical care. In either case, the patient and the healthcare provider have the right to dispute the payment amount. Both parties have the right to submit evidence, including medical records and bills, to support their claims. The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals will review the evidence and make a decision on the amount due. If either party is dissatisfied with the decision, they have the right to appeal the decision to a higher court.
