The Louisiana Affidavit for 103 Divorce (no children) is a document used to file for divorce in the state of Louisiana when there are no children from the marriage. The affidavit must be filed by one of the spouses and signed by both parties in order to be accepted as valid. There are three types of Louisiana Affidavit for 103 Divorce (no children): 1) Simplified Divorce; 2) Divorce by Mutual Consent; and 3) Divorce with Other Grounds. The Simplified Divorce is used when both parties agree on all matters related to the divorce, such as division of property and alimony. The Divorce by Mutual Consent is used when both spouses agree on all the terms of the divorce, but one spouse does not appear in court. The Divorce with Other Grounds is used when one of the spouses has grounds for a divorce, such as adultery, abandonment, or abuse. The affidavit must be signed by both parties, notarized, and then sent to the court for filing.
