The Massachusetts Bar Admissions Application is an application process for those wishing to practice law in the state of Massachusetts. The process includes a filing fee, submission of a completed application form, and completion of the Massachusetts Bar Exam. The application is administered by the Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners, which is part of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. There are two types of Massachusetts Bar Admissions Applications: the Massachusetts Uniform Bar Exam (BE) Application and the Massachusetts Attorney’s Examination (MAE) ApplicationThereBE is a two-day, multiple choice and essay exam that tests a candidate’s knowledge of general principles of law. The MAE is a one-day, multiple-choice exam that tests a candidate’s knowledge of Massachusetts-specific laws.
