A Massachusetts Notice of Withdrawal of Appearance is a document used to officially withdraw an attorney from a court case. This form is used to notify the court, the opposing attorney, and any other parties involved in the case that the attorney is no longer representing the party in the case. The form must be filled out completely and signed by both the lawyer filing the notice and the party they are representing. There are two types of Massachusetts Notice of Withdrawal of Appearance forms: a Notice of Withdrawal of Appearance by an Attorney and a Notice of Withdrawal of Appearance by a Non-Lawyer. The Notice of Withdrawal of Appearance by an Attorney is used when a lawyer is withdrawing from a case and the Notice of Withdrawal of Appearance by a Non-Lawyer is used when a party is withdrawing their own representation from the case. Both forms must be completed and filed with the court in order to withdraw from the case.
