Massachusetts Complaint For Annulment is a legal document that is filed in a Massachusetts court by a person seeking to have a marriage declared void. The Complaint for Annulment can be filed when either one or both parties to the marriage believe that the marriage should not have taken place. The Complaint for Annulment can be based on a number of different grounds, such as one or both of the parties being too young to legally marry, one or both of the parties being unable to give consent, or one or both of the parties being mentally incompetent at the time of the marriage. There are two different types of Complaint for Annulment in Massachusetts: Immediate Annulment and Deferred Annulment. An Immediate Annulment is when a judge grants an annulment of the marriage immediately upon the filing of the Complaint. With a Deferred Annulment, the Complaint is filed and a hearing is held to determine whether the marriage should be annulled.
