The Maryland Cost Schedule (MCS) is a set of rates and fees for workers' compensation services in the state of Maryland. It is published and maintained by the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission (WCC). The MCS includes rates for medical and indemnity services, attorney fees, vocational rehabilitation, and other services related to workers' compensation claims. It is used by employers, insurance companies, and other involved parties to determine the cost of services related to a workers' compensation claim. The MCS is updated regularly to reflect changes in the industry and to ensure that the rates charged are fair and equitable. There are three types of Maryland Cost Schedule: * The Medical Fee Schedule sets out the maximum fees for services provided by medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. * The Indemnity Fee Schedule sets out the maximum fees for services provided to workers' compensation claimants, including wage-loss benefits, medical care, and vocational rehabilitation services. * The Attorney Fee Schedule sets out the maximum fees for services provided by attorneys involved in workers' compensation claims.
