Maryland Franchise Form F-1 is a form that must be completed by any business entity looking to sell franchises in the state of Maryland. This form is required by the Maryland Office of the Secretary of State. There are two different types of Maryland Franchise Form F-1: Form F-1 and Form F-1A. Form F-1 is used for registering a franchise to offer goods or services in Maryland. Form F-1A is used for registering a franchise to offer goods or services in other states in addition to Maryland. Both forms require the completion of a disclosure document and a Franchise Registration Fee. The information required on the form includes the names and addresses of the franchisor, franchisee, and registered agent; the franchise fee; a copy of the franchise agreement; the financial statements of the franchisor; and other information needed to assess the franchise.
