Maryland FORM MISBE-2: Disclosure document for Intrastate Business Exemption is a form used by companies to declare exemption from certain Maryland taxes. This form is used to declare that a company is engaging in an intrastate business, which is a business whose activities are conducted solely within the boundaries of Maryland. The form must be filed annually with the Maryland Comptroller of the Treasury, and it requires certain information about the company's business activities. The form is divided into two parts, the Disclosure Statement and the Exemption Certificate. The Disclosure Statement requires the company to provide information about its business, including its name and address, its Maryland business registration number, the type of business it conducts, the type of products or services it provides, and its total gross receipts from its business activities in Maryland. The Exemption Certificate requires the company to certify that it has met all the requirements for exemption from certain Maryland taxes. The company must also provide details about the type of tax (or taxes) it is exempt from, the period of exemption, and any other information required by the Maryland Comptroller. The two types of Maryland FORM MISBE-2 are the Disclosure document for Intrastate Business Exemption and the Exemption Certificate.
