Maryland Articles of Dissolution (Domestic Corporation) is a document used to officially dissolve a domestic corporation in the state of Maryland. The Articles of Dissolution must be filed with the State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SEAT) in order to terminate the legal existence of a domestic corporation. There are two types of Maryland Articles of Dissolution (Domestic Corporation): Standard Articles of Dissolution and Short Form Articles of Dissolution. Standard Articles of Dissolution must be signed and dated by two directors of the corporation and must include information such as the corporate name, purpose, date of dissolution, and signatures of two directors. Short Form Articles of Dissolution must also be signed and dated by two directors of the corporation, however, it does not require as much information as the Standard Articles of Dissolution. When filing Articles of Dissolution, the filing fee must be paid to the SEAT. Once the Articles of Dissolution are filed, the corporation will be officially dissolved and will no longer be in existence.
