Maryland Request to Shield Consented to Peace Order Records is a form that is used when requesting that a permanent peace order record be shielded from public view. This form can be used when a permanent peace order has been consented to by both parties. Shielding a record means that it will not be available to be seen by the public, although it will still be maintained in the judicial records' system. There are two types of Maryland Request to Shield Consented to Peace Order Records: Request to Shield Entire Record and Request to Shield Part of Record. The Request to Shield Entire Record is used when the petitioner wants the entire permanent peace order record to be shielded from public view. The Request to Shield Part of Record is used when the petitioner wants only certain parts of the record to be shielded from public view. The form must be completed in full and signed by both parties. It is then filed with the court to be reviewed. Once the court has accepted the Request to Shield Consented to Peace Order Records, the record will be shielded from public view.
