Maryland Notice To Creditors of Appointment of Foreign Personal Representative (“Notice”) is a document used by courts in Maryland when a foreign personal representative is appointed to handle the assets of a deceased individual who was residing in Maryland at the time of their death. The Notice is sent to all known creditors of the deceased, informing them of the appointment of the foreign personal representative and directing them to file any claims they have against the estate with the court. There are two types of Maryland Notice To Creditors of Appointment of Foreign Personal Representative: (1) Notice of Appointment of Foreign Personal Representative; and (2) Notice of Appointment of Foreign Personal Representative without Bond. The Notice of Appointment of Foreign Personal Representative requires the foreign personal representative to provide a bond to the court to guarantee payment of any claims made against the estate. The Notice of Appointment of Foreign Personal Representative without Bond does not require the foreign personal representative to provide a bond.
