This is a sample Security Deposit Demand Letter. Security deposit demand letter is used to request the return of a security deposit from a landlord to a tenant. A demand letter is a letter asserting your rights under landlord-tenant law to demand the return of your deposit. After the tenant's lease expires and they vacate the dwelling, they must ask the landlord to refund their deposit. The landlord will then have a specific number of days (i.e. - forty-five (45) days) to return the funds. The form may be customized to suit your needs.
