Maine Supplement 2 (B410S2) (12/15) is an income supplement program designed by the State of Maine to provide financial assistance to elderly, blind, and disabled individuals who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits from the Social Security Administration (SSA). The purpose of the program is to help these individuals meet their basic needs and cover the costs of rent, food, medical care, and other necessary expenses. There are two types of Maine Supplement 2 (B410S2) (12/15): the Standard Maine Supplement program and the Enhanced Maine Supplement program. The Standard Maine Supplement program provides a monthly payment to eligible recipients, while the Enhanced Maine Supplement program provides a higher monthly payment, as well as other additional benefits such as an annual clothing allowance. Individuals who qualify for both programs may receive the higher benefit from either program.
