A Maine Certificate of Counseling is an official document issued by a licensed mental health professional in the state of Maine. It is used to provide additional evidence of counseling for an individual who has undergone counseling, psychotherapy, or other mental health treatment. The Certificate of Counseling is issued to a patient after they have completed a minimum of six hours of counseling, psychotherapy, or other mental health treatment. There are two types of Maine Certificate of Counseling: the Standard Certificate of Counseling and the Expanded Certificate of Counseling. The Standard Certificate of Counseling is a brief document that includes the patient's name, the name of the counselor, the date of the counseling session, and the number of hours of counseling received. The Expanded Certificate of Counseling is a more detailed document that includes the patient's name, the name of the counselor, the date of the counseling session, the number of hours of counseling received, and an additional page of information about the patient's progress in treatment.
