Maine Request For Inclusion On Juror Source List (Maine RAILS) is a form issued by the Maine Judicial Branch to allow an individual or entity to be included in a list of potential jurors for a specific court. The form is used when an individual or entity wishes to be included in the selection of potential jurors for a trial or other legal proceeding. It allows an individual or entity to provide demographic information, such as name, address, phone number, and email address, so that they can be contacted for jury duty. Maine RAILS comes in two forms: direct and indirect. Direct Maine RAILS must be completed by the individual or entity requesting to be included in the juror source list and requires a signature in order to be accepted. Indirect Maine RAILS is completed by an employer, attorney, or other representative of the individual or entity requesting to be included in the juror source list and requires the signature of the individual or entity. Once the form is filled out, it must be submitted to the Maine Judicial Branch, which will review and either accept or reject the request. If accepted, the individual or entity will be placed in the juror source list and may be randomly selected for jury duty.
