Michigan Restated Articles of Incorporation For Use By Domestic Profit Corporations are legal documents filed with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) to amend the original Articles of Incorporation for a domestic profit corporation in the state of Michigan. The restated articles are used to update the corporation’s name, address, purpose, and other information as needed. There are two types of Michigan Restated Articles of Incorporation For Use By Domestic Profit Corporations: Short Form and Long Form. The Short Form is used when a corporation wishes to make a simple name change or an address change. The Long Form must be used when making other changes such as the purpose of the business, the number of shares of stock that can be issued, and the name and address of the corporation's registered agent. Both forms must include the name of the corporation, the date the original Articles of Incorporation were filed, the address of the corporation, the name and address of the registered agent, and a statement that the corporation is authorized to issue shares of stock.
