The Michigan Counselors Certification Program (CCP) Registration for Debt Management is an online certification program for counselors who wish to receive credentials in debt management. This program provides counselors with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to assist individuals with managing their debt and financial obligations. It offers three levels of certification: Certified Debt Manager, Certified Financial Counselor, and Certified Debt Management Professional. The program is approved by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and is offered in partnership with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. The curriculum includes areas such as budgeting and credit management, debt consolidation and debt negotiation, foreclosure prevention, bankruptcy education and more. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate, a digital badge, and a listing on the CCP website. Participants can also choose to be listed in the National Foundation for Credit Counseling's national directory of certified credit counselors.
