The Michigan Uniform Child Support Order-NO FOC Services effective January 1, 2017, is a set of regulations that establish the guidelines for calculating and enforcing child support payments in the state of Michigan. This order generally applies to parents who have never previously been involved with the Friend of the Court (FOC) system. It establishes the formula and worksheet used to determine the appropriate child support amount, based on the income of both parents and other factors. The order also includes provisions for the payment of medical and dental expenses, day care costs, and other expenses related to the support of the child. There are three types of Michigan Uniform Child Support Order-NO FOC Services effective January 1, 2017: the Standard Order, the Simplified Order, and the Self-Support Reserve Order. The Standard Order is used when there is sufficient information available to calculate the child support amount. The Simplified Order is used when there is limited financial information available, and the Self-Support Reserve Order is used when the paying parent's income is too low to meet the minimum support obligations.
