Michigan Dismissal (Domestic Relations) is a legal process in which a court ends a marriage or domestic partnership. It is also known as divorce or dissolution of marriage. There are two types of Michigan Dismissal (Domestic Relations): uncontested and contested. In an uncontested Michigan Dismissal (Domestic Relations), both parties agree to end the marriage and have come to an agreement on all issues related to the divorce, such as the division of property, alimony, child custody and child support. Once the parties agree, the court will enter a judgment of divorce and the marriage will be legally dissolved. In a contested Michigan Dismissal (Domestic Relations), the parties cannot come to an agreement on the issues related to the divorce. In this case, the court will hear both sides of the case and make a ruling on the matters. The court will enter a judgment of divorce once all matters are resolved and the marriage will be legally dissolved.
